Kiran Gems Witnesses Good Hong Kong Show

Kiran Gems Private Ltd., the world’s largest manufacturer of white diamonds under 1 carat, witnessed an impressive performance at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.

The company had a grand presence in the show with three locations one of which was an exclusive show room. Kiran, being a global manufacturer of high standards, had showcased goods worth $35 million in the show which included certified diamonds 1 carat and above, certified diamonds 0.30 carats to 0.99 carats and loose polished parcels in various size and clarities.

''We observed this year show had more jewelry retailers and jewelry manufacturers as visitors with a fewer numbers of middle men and agents. This is good for the show and exhibitors,'' said Dinesh Lakhani, the director of Kiran Gems. ''Since there had been a quiet season just prior to the show due to the U.S. holiday season and Chinese New Year, we expected a good buyers’ turn out at the show. There had been good demand and business in certified carat up sizes in VS-SI triple excellent goods categories.''

There had been a good number of enquiries from China which now Kiran will be able serve from its office in Shanghai Diamond Exchange from this year onwards. There are huge opportunities for Kiran in China as it has the strength of quality products in quantity and customer oriented services. There is a team already who has started working on this business geography.

Over all the show has set a good tone for the buying year ahead.
